National Church Residences in Asheville, NC is seeking Maintenance Technicians for Vanderbilt Apartments to maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical and building systems, including on-call duties 24/7. The role requires diagnosing and repairing issues, maintaining common areas, completing carpentry/painting, and supervising junior staff when applicable. A valid driver''s license is required and certifications are a plus. Benefits are extensive.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
• 2+ years of residential/apartment maintenance experience required.
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs skills.
• Certifications (HVAC, OSHA, etc.) a plus.
• Valid driver''s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.
• Diagnose and repair maintenance issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain interior and exterior common areas, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
• Complete minor carpentry, painting, appliance, and general repairs.
• Supervise and mentor junior maintenance staff, when applicable.
• Manage inventory and submit maintenance records and reports.
• Comply with all safety regulations and building codes.
