Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a Maintenance Technician - Vac Lab for the 3rd shift in Wickliffe, Ohio. You will maintain and repair vacuum furnaces, perform PMs and oil changes, and support foundry operators with graphite maintenance as needed.

The role requires knowledge of vacuum furnace operation, general plant maintenance, and hands-on electrical/electronic repair. Welding, hydraulics, and soldering skills are valued for furnace controls and related equipment.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of vacuum furnace operation and repair.
• Experience in general maintenance of plant equipment.
• Background in hydraulics plumbing, pip fittings, welding, and soldering needed.
• Electrical and electronics experience required to repair furnace controls.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the daily maintenance and repair of vacuum furnaces.
• Responsible for the completion of PM’s and regular oil changes on the vacuum furnaces.
• Assist foundry operators with furnace graphite maintenance as required by supervision.
• Assist in other plant maintenance work as required by supervision.
• Repair and maintain other plant equipment as experience indicates.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers, supervisors.
