Job summary

Aurora Technologies in Grand Haven, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on complex equipment, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and install and align new machinery. Qualifications

• Safety-first mentality with knowledge of basic industrial safety procedures (LOTO, Hot Work)
• Self-motivated with desire to continuously learn new concepts
• General understanding of Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electrical, and Steam Systems with ability to maintain and repair components
• Basic machining experience including drilling, tapping, mill and lathe work
• Ability to troubleshoot industrial systems safely and effectively
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Basic computer skills with ability to use maintenance software
• Problem-solving skills to identify and fix malfunctions
• Able to use standard industrial equipment and measuring devices like multimeters, calipers, and micrometers
• Knowledge in safe rigging and lifting practices

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment operating efficiently (cleaning, lubrication, adjustments)
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using diagnostic tools
• Repair and replace faulty components, dismantle and reassemble machinery
• Coordinate tooling setups and adjust parameters to minimize production impact
• Install new machinery and ensure proper alignment and integration
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and inventory
• Train production personnel on operation and basic maintenance
• Ensure safety and maintain clean, organized work areas
• Support continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve processes
• Represent the department and company professionally; communicate repair status clearly
