Job summary

Viking Group, Inc. in Hastings, MI is seeking a Machine Repair Technician to maintain and repair production machinery. This role focuses on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and collaborates with Maintenance and Engineering to minimize downtime.

You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, follow safety procedures including lockout/tagout, and perform other duties as assigned at our Hastings, Michigan facility.

Responsibilities

• Install and assist with installation, relocation, setup, and leveling of machinery.
• Install pneumatic and hydraulic power sources and related components for new or relocated equipment.
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions with Maintenance/Engineering to identify repairs.
• Repair and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components (solenoids, pumps, belts, bearings, etc.).
• Maintain safe operating condition; ensure guards and safety devices are installed and functioning.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO when servicing equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
