Job summary

Ag Processing Inc in David City, NE is seeking a self-motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. This full-time role focuses on ensuring equipment runs efficiently and troubleshooting mechanical issues. You will repair, maintain, and fabricate plant components, read equipment specs, and operate forklifts or loaders as needed.

The position requires on-call availability and a safety-focused mindset. We value experience with PSM/NFPA/OSHA/EPA standards and strong communication, time

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in mechanical, construction or equivalent.
• Knowledge of PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
• Ability to read and understand computer printouts and equipment specifications.
• Skilled in operating a forklift, bobcat and end-loader.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Able to be available for on-call status periodically (as needed).
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Repair and/or replace broken or non-functioning equipment through analysis of problem and determining what materials/parts are needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Fabricate new plant items out of metal or wood using welder’s torches, band saws, presses, and other tools.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and complete repairs when appropriate.
• Maintain plant sanitation standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
