Job summary

Glassfab Tempering Services in Aurora, Colorado, is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to join our team. You’ll learn to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and facility systems alongside an experienced crew.

No prior maintenance experience is required; we’ll train the right person with a strong work ethic and interest in mechanical and electrical systems. This role offers hands-on learning, safety training, and opportunities to grow into more advanced maintenance

Qualifications

• Attended or completed a technical, vocational, or trade school program.
• Comfort reading basic mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive and routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
• Assist with diagnosing equipment problems and identifying potential causes
• Perform inspections and basic equipment adjustments
• Use hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment
• Assist experienced technicians with equipment repairs and installations
• Learn to read basic mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, and equipment manuals
• Keep maintenance records and documentation
• Follow all company safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
• Work closely with production employees and maintenance personnel

Glassfab delivers crafted architectural glass and metal products to local custom shower door companies, glass shops and architectural glazing contractors.

As our company continues to grow, we're looking for an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to join our team.

You don't need years of maintenance experience to be successful in this position. We're willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and an interest in mechanical and electrical systems.

What You'll Learn and Do

Working alongside our experienced team, you'll learn how to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and facility systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist with preventive and routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment
• Learn to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
• Assist with diagnosing equipment problems and identifying potential causes
• Perform inspections and basic equipment adjustments
• Use hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment
• Assist experienced technicians with equipment repairs and installations
• Learn to maintain equipment such as:
  • Glass tempering furnaces
  • Insulated glass production lines
  • Glass cutting tables
  • Edge grinders and polishers
  • Washers and drying systems
  • Automated material handling equipment
  • Compressors, pumps, and conveyors
  • Other production and facility equipment
• Help respond to equipment issues and production downtime
• Learn to read basic mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, and equipment manuals
• Keep maintenance tools, work areas, and spare parts organized
• Complete maintenance records and documentation
• Follow all company safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
• Work closely with production employees and experienced maintenance personnel
• Develop the skills needed to advance into a more experienced Maintenance Technician role
