Roers Companies is seeking an energetic, dedicated professional to join our team in Sun Prairie, WI as a Maintenance Technician at The Wildwood at Main.

We are offering a one-time sign-on bonus of $2,000 payable after 90 days of continuous employment with the Company. In the event you voluntarily resign or are terminated for cause within 12 months of your start date, you agree to repay the full amount of the sign-on bonus to the Company within 30 days of your last day of employment. The sign-on bonus is considered taxable income, and all applicable taxes and withholdings will be deducted as required by law.

Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician, you help residents feel safe, comfortable, and happy with their homes. Your tasks may include:

• General maintenance of multifamily apartment buildings, including occupied units.
• Electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs.
• Participation in cleaning and painting during unit turns.
• Snow removal.
• Maintaining professional and courteous communication with Property Managers, Maintenance Managers, and other team members.
• Responding to emergency calls during on-call rotation, including after hours and weekends.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of property maintenance experience, preferably in apartment maintenance.
• At least 2 years of customer service experience.
• Local market experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Availability to work weekends and evenings on an on-call schedule, in addition to regular Monday – Friday hours.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, with good time management skills.
• Flexible schedule to adapt to staffing and property needs.
• Entrepreneurial mindset — motivated, collaborative, inquisitive, trustworthy, and client-focused.
• High integrity — trustworthy, honest, confident, and willing to admit mistakes.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing stairs, working on ladders or scaffolding.
