Job summary

Ergon Inc. is seeking a full-time Skilled Tradesman at our Roanoke, VA facility to perform preventative and general maintenance, repair functions, and collaborate with terminal operators and leadership to ensure equipment is well-maintained.

The ideal candidate will embrace learning and contribute to an efficient, safety-conscious work environment. The role reports to the Terminal or Maintenance Manager and requires interaction with customers, vendors, and other company personnel.

Qualifications

• Organizational, time management, problem-solving and housekeeping skills are required.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to the team.
• Ability to work closely with terminal operators and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Able to perform all The Terminal Operator I and Terminal Operator II functions proficiently.
• Ability to perform advanced functions as required by terminal including PMA, Emulsion, and Injecting Concentrate.
• Developing and maintaining preventive maintenance schedules for all tanks and equipment.
• Maintaining parts inventory for repairs and maintenance.
• Ordering required parts and equipment needed for general maintenance and repair.
• Able to perform major maintenance and repairs or machinery and equipment including rebuilding pumps.
• Assist with development and execution of project work.
• Train terminal operators on performing maintenance inspections and general maintenance tasks.
• Other duties as required by the Terminal Manager.
