Job summary

Lehigh Valley Dairy Farms, a farmer-owned brand of Dairy Farmers of America, seeks a maintenance technician to diagnose and repair production equipment and support continuous operation. You’ll perform preventative maintenance, read manuals and schematics, and help install new equipment while training operators to reduce downtime.

The role emphasizes proactive problem solving, documentation accuracy, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or GED.
2–4 years hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC/HMI or HVAC.
Independent worker with minimal supervision; basic computer skills and English fluency.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair production, processing, and packaging equipment—planned, unplanned, and emergency.
Execute preventative maintenance programs and reliability assessments.
Interpret schematics, service manuals, and work orders to drive fast, accurate repairs.
Support new equipment installation and cross-train operators to minimize downtime.
Identify process improvements and act on them.
Anticipate parts needs and manage procurement ahead of scheduled tasks.
Maintain complete documentation in line with SOPs and GMP standards.
