Job summary

Mallory Alexander International Logistics is seeking a Logistics Professional to join our growing team in Memphis. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing complex automated systems, leading root-cause analysis, and coordinating facility technicians to maximize uptime.

You will mentor staff, ensure safety and compliance, interface with contractors, and maintain detailed maintenance logs while supporting shift scheduling and parts procurement.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in Electromechanics, Mechatronics or Industrial Maintenance.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with complex automated/mechanical systems, including lead technician responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of automated systems, PLCs and mechatronics.
• Proficient with MS Office and maintenance management software.
• Excellent technical, organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to rotate shifts, weekends and respond to after-hours emergencies as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on diagnosis and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues; lead root cause analysis.
• Perform inspections, testing, preventive maintenance and repairs on automated systems.
• Coordinate day-to-day work assignments of facility technicians to maximize uptime.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance and quality standards in all activities.
• Conduct on-the-job training and mentor team members on technical systems and SOPs.
• Interface with contractors to ensure quality and compliance of work.
• Maintain maintenance logs and report on operational metrics and service performance.
• Assist with shift scheduling and procurement of consumables and spare parts.
• Maintain workplace safety and organization in all areas.
• Participate in team meetings and assist with planning and tasks as needed.

Mallory Alexander International Logistics , a global third-party logistics (3PL) provider, is seeking a Logistics Professional to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, expert-level diagnosis and troubleshooting of complex mechanical and electrical issues, and lead root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Perform and lead inspections, testing, preventive maintenance, and repairs on automated storage and retrieval systems, box conveyors, and related equipment.
• Coordinate day-to-day work assignments of facility technicians, managing workflow to maximize system uptime and operational efficiency.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, legal requirements, and quality standards in all maintenance and repair activities.
• Conduct on-the-job training and coaching of team members on technical systems and standard operating procedures, acting as a technical mentor.
• Interface with and monitor external contractors and service providers to ensure the quality and compliance of contracted work.
• Maintain the documentation and system logs for all maintenance activities; monitor, prepare, and report on operational statistics and service metrics.
• Assist with shift scheduling and daily operational staffing coordination.
• Assist with the organization and procurement of consumables and spare parts.
• Ensure workplace safety, cleanliness, and organization in all operational areas.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning and organizational tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Technical degree or equivalent experience in Electromechanics, Mechatronics, or Industrial Maintenance.
• 5+ years of extensive hands-on experience with complex automated/mechanical systems, including strong experience in a Lead Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of automated systems, PLCs, and mechatronics.
• Proficient with MS Office and maintenance management systems.
• Excellent technical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and respond to after-hours emergencies as required.

Shift:

Monday Through Friday.

Working Environment:

Duties regularly require employee to stand, walk, and reach with hands, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Duties will require proficient use of computer, software, phone systems and other similar technology. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
