Job summary

University Partners is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support a safe and welcoming living environment for residents. You will handle routine maintenance, respond to work orders, and assist with shop upkeep.

The role requires basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, plus a strong mechanical aptitude and excellent customer service skills. Weekend and on-call availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Professional demeanor from previous maintenance experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process work orders as assigned by supervisor.
• Perform general maintenance and groundskeeping to keep the community clean and safe.
• Maintain the maintenance shop in a clean, organized condition.
• Report issues to Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager for review.
• Assist with other tasks as directed by Maintenance Supervisor.
• Spot-clean model units and vacant units daily.

JOBPURPOSE:

Maintenance Technicians perform a variety of responsibilities, including work orders, grounds and common area clean up and maintenance, and maintaining good resident relations.

PRIMARYDUTIES&RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties and responsibilities will include those specifically assigned by the employee’s immediate supervisor.

• Providingexcellentservicetoresidents,guests,employeesandcontractors.
• Completingallroutineservicerequestswithin24hoursatthedirectionofMaintenanceSupervisor.
• Ensuringthecleanconditionofthecommunityatalltimes.
• Maintainingthemaintenanceshopaccordingtopolicy.
• ReportingmaintenanceissuestotheMaintenanceSupervisorandCommunityManagerforreview.
• AssistinginothertasksasdirectedbytheMaintenanceSupervisor.
• Spotcleaningthemodelandvacantunitsonadailybasis.

Qualifications:
