Job summary

University Partners is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain a safe and welcoming community for residents. Responsibilities include handling work orders, grounds and common area upkeep, and ensuring resident satisfaction.

The role requires knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC basics, and strong customer service abilities, with a willingness to learn. Must have own tools and be able to work weekends/overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, or 0–3 months related experience.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • Certified HVAC as required.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent service to residents, guests, employees and contractors.
  • Completing all routine service requests within 24 hours at the direction of Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Ensuring the clean condition of the community at all times.
  • Maintaining the maintenance shop according to policy.
  • Reporting maintenance issues to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager for review.
  • Assisting in other tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Spot cleaning the model and vacant units on a daily basis.

JOBPURPOSE:

Maintenance Technicians perform a variety of responsibilities, including work orders, grounds and common area clean up and maintenance, and maintaining good resident relations.

PRIMARYDUTIES&RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties and responsibilities will include those specifically assigned by the employee’s immediate supervisor.

  • Providingexcellentservicetoresidents,guests,employeesandcontractors.
  • Completingallroutineservicerequestswithin24hoursatthedirectionofMaintenanceSupervisor.
  • Ensuringthecleanconditionofthecommunityatalltimes.
  • Maintainingthemaintenanceshopaccordingtopolicy.
  • ReportingmaintenanceissuestotheMaintenanceSupervisorandCommunityManagerforreview.
  • AssistinginothertasksasdirectedbytheMaintenanceSupervisor.
  • Spotcleaningthemodelandvacantunitsonadailybasis.
Qualifications:
  • Workingknowledgeofelectric,plumbing,HVACandbasicconstruction.
  • Ageneralmechanicalaptitudecombinedwithawillingnessanddesiretolearn.
  • Abilitytoreadandcomprehendsimpleinstructions,shortcorrespondence,andmemos.Ability to write simple correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Abilitytoadd,subtract,multiply,anddivideinallunitsofmeasure,usingwholenumbers, common fractions, and decimals.
