Maintenance Technician - Shift: 11:00AM - 7:30PM

Job Overview

This role involves maintaining and repairing physical structures, pipe and electrical systems, mechanical and hydraulic components of production machinery, including engines, motors, pneumatic, and conveyor systems. The technician performs various maintenance duties under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager.

Shift Details

11:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Essential Functions

• Electrical repairs, installations, and maintenance, including replacement of switches, outlets, bulbs, ballasts, transformers, sockets, and fuses.
• Minor plumbing maintenance, repairs, and installations, such as fixing leaks and clearing obstructions.
• Minor HVAC maintenance, including filter replacements, belt changes, and greasing bearings.
• Minor carpentry repairs, including masonry, woodwork, wall repairs, painting, and flooring.
• Periodic inspections and preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Operate motor vehicles and tools safely.
• Understand blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings for installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Respond to emergency situations during and after hours.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Good attendance and work record.
• Pneumatic and hydraulic experience preferred.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Ability to operate scissors lifts and two-man lifts.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, walk, climb, and kneel for extended periods.
• Agility to maneuver stairs, ladders, and challenging areas.
• Use of hands for handling objects and tools.
• Endure hot and cold temperatures.
• Good eye-hand coordination.
• Occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.

Additional Details

Location involves weekend work, evenings when on call, and frequent travel between buildings.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000/year.
