Job summary

Kennametal Inc. is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to maintain CNC equipment, manual lathes, grinders, and plant support systems, including compressors and cooling towers. Reading schematics and repairing motor controls, electrical and hydraulic systems are essential.

The role requires a maintenance-related certificate and a minimum of 5 years' machine shop maintenance experience, with emphasis on safe, timely downtime reduction and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a maintenance related certificate of education and/or willingness to attend a maintenance education program approved by supervisor.
• Must have 5 years minimum maintenance experience in a machine shop environment.
• Must be able to perform machine repair in a safe and timely manner to reduce machine downtime.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work area by identifying and addressing any safety issues before proceeding.
• Diagnose and repair production equipment
• Clean-up area after performing a maintenance function
• Diagnose and repair plant support eq. (compressors etc.)
• P.M. equipment
