Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our Emerald Valley community. You’ll perform maintenance tasks, assist with repairs, painting, and refurbishing, and support HVAC, water, and mechanical systems maintenance to keep the community safe and well-functioning for residents and staff.

You will follow safety standards, perform preventive checks, manage tools and inventory, and participate in emergency drills.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders
• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures)
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects
• Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory
• Support carpet and floor care as needed
• Assist with suite “make-ready” preparation
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards
• Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills
• Drive community vehicle as assigned
