Job summary

Golden-Harbor-Assisted-Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold safe, functional living spaces across our assisted living communities in Wisconsin. You will perform general repairs, oversee preventive maintenance, and support groundskeeping while coordinating with vendors when needed.

The role requires at least 2 years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and a valid Wisconsin driver’s license to travel between communities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in building maintenance, facilities, or related trade.
  • Valid Wisconsin driver's license and ability to drive between communities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Compassion and respect for seniors in a residential care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance & Safety: ensure maintenance practices comply with Wisconsin DHS 83 and policies.
  • Maintenance & Repairs: perform general repairs in resident rooms, common areas, and service areas; oversee preventive maintenance.
  • Grounds & Environment: maintain exterior grounds; ensure walkways and outdoor areas are safe year-round.
  • On-Call & Emergency Response: serve as on-call technician outside regular hours; respond to emergencies.
  • Task Management & Communication: prioritize requests; maintain records; communicate with residents, families, and staff.
