Job summary

Cardinal Ritter Senior Services, a ministry of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Saint Louis, seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative and ongoing maintenance to ensure safe, functional buildings. The role covers custodial duties and a broad range of trades, with a focus on timely repairs and keeping records.

The ideal candidate brings experience in custodial/service fields and some skilled trades, and can work with contractors, manage work orders, and respond to emergencies

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial and service fields, with some skilled-trades exposure such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting or carpentry.
• Ability to understand and follow directions and prioritize tasks.
• Experience using a work order system and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Daily inspect buildings and grounds to determine repairs or cleanup needs.
• Perform a wide range of building and equipment repairs and routine maintenance; support apartment turnovers.
• Handle painting, drywall, electrical, HVAC, PTAC, plumbing, carpentry and related tasks as needed.
• Service, filter changes and cleaning of HVAC and PTAC units.
• Maintain custodial duties in the absence of staff and track time/materials for Work Orders.
