Job summary

Sagora Senior Living seeks a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director in keeping Lakestone Terrace and its facilities in excellent condition. You will handle routine upkeep, light carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance tasks to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, maintaining equipment, and assisting with preventative maintenance while promoting safety and quality across the community.

Qualifications

• 6 months of work experience in a position handling residential maintenance items.
• Experience with sheet rock, carpentry, plumbing, painting, changing light fixtures, and other general building maintenance.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task with high attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language and communicate with residents, family, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders as requested by the Maintenance Director, including changing light bulbs, HVAC filters, painting, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Maintain grounds, fences, parking areas, and community facilities.
• Maintain service equipment and tools; track repairs with work order system.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment daily to promote safety for residents and staff.
• Assist with preventative maintenance records for residential units.
