Job Schedule : Full-Time

We are seeking a Maintenance Security Tech to join our community committed to delivering a safe and secure environment. As a Maintenance Security Technician, you will play a n important role in monitoring the campus, parking lots to help us ensure Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. What you'll do:

  • Inspect all areas of the facility for safety and fire hazards. Make rounds through all building hallways, stairwells, trash rooms, restrooms and storage areas. Patrol campus grounds. Document findings and notify the Resident Services Administrator. Patrol secured areas to ensure all doors are appropriately locked/unlocked.
  • Immediately respond to all fire alarms. Appropriately contain fire until fire department arrives and assist department with moving residents or controlling crowds. Perform monthly inspection of fire extinguishers to ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
  • Immediately respond to all emergency situations in order to resolve any incident which could potentially harm personnel, residents and/or visitors. Call for outside assistance as needed.
  • Monitor parking practices of employees and visitors to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Escort visitors, residents, and personnel to vehicles as requested.
  • Deliver packages to residents’ apartments.
  • Provide assistance to individuals having vehicular problems (e.g. frozen door locks, dead batteries, flat tires, etc.) as needed.
  • Monitor and promote compliance with facility policies such as solicitation, smoking and visiting hours.
  • Timely and accurately document all incidents and emergencies in departmental log.

What you ’ll bring :

  • Requires knowledge of and ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Requires excellent communication and customer service skills.
