Job Summary:
The Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial: mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic control systems. This position will work closely with multiple personnel, including engineering, machine operators and other maintenance employees, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ultimately, a top-class industrial maintenance technician boosts production by ensuring all production equipment functions correctly by using their skills and knowledge to improve the equipment and the overall maintenance process.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform repairs, maintenance, preventative maintenance, new installations, upgrades, and changes to industrial production equipment and the facility while maintaining detailed records and records of the parts used (inventory) either written or into the CMMS system.
· Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, gearboxes, conveyor systems, hydraulic (s), pneumatic (s), transmission systems, extrusion, conversion, winder(s), rewinding, overhead cranes, presses, and other production-related equipment.
· Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines.
· Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.
· Troubleshoot and repair pumps, valves, and cylinders.
· Adjusting mechanical parts and equipment using hand and machine tools.
· Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
· Welding, cutting, and machining.
· Troubleshoot production equipment hardware & software (includes PLC’s, HMI’s, VFD’s, AC/ DC Drives, Temperature Controls and Computer based systems)
· Perform repairs, and upgrades to machinery and equipment in support of production in a manufacturing capacity.
· Equipment and machine programming and setup for manufacturing to ensure product specifications are met.
· Assists in creating, modifying, and revising manufacturing work instructions and the process flow documentation.
· PLC, HMI, and VFD programming. Making changes or transfers and troubleshooting as needed.
· Will assemble, disassemble troubleshoot, and maintain electro-mechanical production systems and equipment, both manual and automated. Work from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
· “Running” and bending conduit, mounting boxes, pulling feed wires, and terminating.
· Bench work: Diagnose, rebuild and or repair parts, equipment and machines that are “Offline” and test. For restock as repaired parts inventory. Or red tag and notify lead/supervisor to order new or send out for repair.
· Work safely, accurately, quickly, and independently to keep the equipment operating. Must work well under pressure.

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
· An associate degree in electrical engineering, an Industrial Maintenance Certification or 3 years of being an industrial electrician and mechanical experience; industrial manufacturing experience is a plus.
· Must have knowledge of electrical systems and wiring (including 120/ 277/ 480 volts & 3 phase.
· Previous PLC experience: Allen Bradley and AB - RSLogix experience is a plus.
· Previous VFD, DC and Servo Drive experience.
· Process control experience must include 4-20 mA loops, positioning feedback, and analog controls.
· Previous experience with temperature control systems.
· In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems maintenance.
· Previous experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Skills/Requirements:
· Reading, Writing and arithmetic with the ability to read a tape measure and use a pair of calipers.
· Familiarity with NEC safety standards and regulations.
· Familiarity with NFPA safety standards and regulations.
· Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
· Must have experience and knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out program’s policies and procedures.
· Strong electro-mechanical skills, to include the reading and interpretation of schematics, read and follow Ladder Logic, Sequential Logic, and mechanical engineering drawings.
· Proficiency in the ability to use digital multimeters and troubleshooting skills.
· Computer skills: Microsoft 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, Edge, ADOBE, (AX a plus)
· Strong multi-tasking skills.
· Have an attention to detail with excellent prioritization and follow up skills.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic environment, with limited supervision: A self-motivated, self-starter.
· Observes safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions.
· Experience working with 5S principles and practices.
· Familiar knowledge of Lean basic concepts.
· Be a Team player with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with your peers and the leadership team.
· Must have experience and knowledge of machine safety, operation, and troubleshooting.
· Must demonstrate an understanding of a safe work environment and have a proven ability to work safely.
· Must have a solid work history showing the ability to maintain a good attendance record.
· Good time-management skills.
· Must have your own basic set of SAE, metric tools, and a digital multimeter(s).
· Extrusion experience is a plus. Vacuum and resin control systems a plus.
· Printer (Flexo) experience is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Intermittent periods of crouching, kneeling, working in confined areas and in varied temperatures and outdoors as necessary to safely service equipment.
· Must be able to lift 50 + pounds at times.
· Must be able to climb a ladder/ scaffolding and work on a scissor/ man lift.
· Drive a forklift, scissor lift and manlift.
· Pass a Pre-Employment drug screen.

· Average hours per week: 40
· Pay range: $28/hour
· Job status: Non-exempt, hourly, full time with benefits
