Job summary

East Chambers ISD is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repair of district buildings and related systems, and assist with grounds keeping. Responsibilities include supporting skilled workers, inspecting facilities, completing repairs per work orders, driving the district bus as needed, and maintaining tools with safety in mind.

Qualifications

Must hold a valid Texas driver's license and be able to obtain CDL Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Assist skilled workers with repair and maintenance of district facilities, including woodworking, electrical, plumbing, and painting tasks.
Inspect interior/exterior buildings and grounds and perform minor repairs as needed.
Detect and report major repairs to supervisor or foreman.
Move, install, assemble, and repair school furniture and playground equipment.
Drive bus on route or trips when required; conduct pre- and post-trip inspections.
Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and maintain tools and preventive maintenance.
