Job summary

Sevita is seeking a Maintenance Worker to ensure grounds and equipment stay in good working order across multiple programs. You will perform preventative maintenance, read blueprints, and coordinate with vendors to keep facilities safe and functional.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of related experience, plus the ability to handle electrical and mechanical equipment and to work with outside contractors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year related experience.
• Knowledge to handle maintenance and electrical equipment.
• Current contractor license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventative maintenance across multiple programs/offices.
• Plan and schedule work with available resources and equipment.
• Coordinate with outside contractors to ensure quality of work.
• Repair/maintain mechanical equipment including HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
• Read blueprints and plan wiring for networking; inspect building surfaces.
• Maintain inventory and vendor accounts; order supplies.
• Maintain appliance motors, room exhaust fans, pumps and miscellaneous equipment.
• Work with building inspectors and vendors; maintain safety systems.
• Maintain operational records and enforce safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties and activities as required.
