Job summary

D&S Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, maintains the physical facility, grounds and equipment to create a safe, attractive living environment for individuals receiving services.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related experience. You will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections and safety-related tasks across building systems, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and one year related experience.
• Working knowledge and ability to handle all maintenance and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ongoing preventative maintenance program.
• Repairs and maintains kitchen, housekeeping, and other mechanical equipment, including HVAC, electrical and plumbing fixtures.
• Inspects and repairs damages to hallways, walls, ceilings, floors, roofs, and rooms.
• Paints and refinishes building surfaces.
• Orders and maintains necessary maintenance supplies.
• Maintains fire alarm system and sprinkler systems; assists with inspections and disaster plans.
• Monitors appliance motors and other equipment; supports monthly checks.
• Maintains records and enforces safety regulations.
