Job summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in our Performance Tapes facility. You will work with electrical systems, PLCs, and precision tools to keep production lines running efficiently.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, safety, and collaboration with engineers to identify long-term improvements. A strong background in industrial maintenance and problem-solving is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years of industrial maintenance OR a High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work.
• Technical Proficiency: Proven expertise in Electrical systems and PLC troubleshooting/repair.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosis & Repair: Use drawings, schematics, and precision tools to fix mechanical failures in production machinery.
• Electrical Mastery: Install and troubleshoot complex electrical systems, motors, switchboards, and automated controls.
• PLC Troubleshooting: Use PLCs to identify faults in automated lines and implement corrective measures.
• Preventive Excellence: Follow maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and support engineers in process improvements.
• Safety Leadership: Maintain a clean, OSHA-compliant workspace and prioritize team safety.
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Work Schedule: 12-hour Rotating DuPont Schedule (7am-7pm / 7pm-7am)

Starting Pay: Highly competitive rates + $2.00/hour shift differential

Your Impact:

• Diagnosis & Repair: Use detailed drawings, schematics, and precision tools to locate and fix mechanical failures in pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery.

• Electrical Mastery: Install and troubleshoot complex electrical systems, including motors, switchboards, automated controls, and circuit breakers.

• PLC Troubleshooting: Utilize PLCs to identify faults in automated lines and implement corrective measures.

• Preventive Excellence: Follow strict maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and assist engineers in identifying long-term process improvements.

• Safety Leadership: Maintain a clean, OSHA-compliant workspace. We prioritize the safety of our team above all else.

• Other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience OR a High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work.

• Technical Proficiency: Proven expertise in Electrical systems and PLC troubleshooting/repair.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Manufacturing, Electrical disciplines, or equivalent.

• AutoCAD proficiency.

• Advanced PLC root-cause diagnostic skills.

• Agility: Ability to work independently and pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment.

• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with production teams and explain technical issues clearly.
