Job summary

A-Gas in the Americas is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Rhome, TX facility. The role involves repairing equipment to ensure smooth operation, on a 1st shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime.

Qualified candidates bring 2–5 years of industrial maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and proficiency with electrical, plumbing, welding, and pumps. We offer comprehensive benefits and a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical pumps, hoses, motors, valves, connections, and fittings.
• Experience transferring liquids and gases from bulk tanks, ISO's, and containers to cylinders and storage tanks.
• Experience with preventative maintenance techniques.
• Electrical, plumbing, welding (MIG, Brazing), boilers (steam), and air systems knowledge.
• Ability to fabricate and modify equipment and components.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy with Excel, Word, and Outlook; maintenance tracking systems preferred.

• Complete repairs and routine maintenance on plant equipment and systems.

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Rhome, TX facility, to carry out repairs for all operation and building equipment to ensure the smooth running of the site. This role will work 1st Shift, primarily 7 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, some overtime may be required

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area to ensure a safe workplace.
• Perform lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures before maintenance activities to ensure equipment is safely isolated.
• Complete assigned repairs and routine maintenance on plant equipment, including filling systems, hoses, filters, pumps, and related components.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues while supporting preventive maintenance efforts to minimize downtime.
• Test equipment and systems to ensure proper operation, leak integrity, and accurate performance. Document all test results as required.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and work order logs to track completed and upcoming maintenance activities.
• Install, repair, and maintain facility and production equipment, including support for new equipment installations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience, Knowledge, and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of mechanical pumps, hoses, motors, valves, connections, and fittings.
• Working knowledge of transferring liquids and gases from large bulk tanks, ISO's, and containers to cylinders and storage tanks.
• Working knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques.
• Working experience in electrical, plumbing, welding (MIG, Brazing), boilers (steam), and air systems.
• Ability to fabricate and modify equipment and components.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literate with Excel, Word, and Outlook and knowledge of maintenance tracking systems preferred.
