Job summary

A-Gas Americas in Rhome, TX is hiring a full-time Process Operations Technician to support our refrigerant processing operations. You’ll inspect equipment, configure distillation columns, execute transfers and bulk moves, and perform safety checks.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, chemical process experience, and proficiency with Excel. The role offers 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule with day/night rotation and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing, chemicals industry, or production processes.
• Ability to obtain HazMat Certification and EPA 608 certification.
• Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment and configure distillation columns at shift start.
• Process setups, execute transfers and bulk tank moves, perform teardowns.
• Complete safety checks and PMS/LOTO procedures; log results in Excel and report anomalies.

What Are The Hours?

This is a full-time position with the following schedule:

• 12-hour shifts: 7:30 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:30 PM - 7:30 AM
• Rotating schedule: 4 days on / 3 days off, then 3 days on / 4 days off
• Quarterly rotation between day and night shifts

What Does Your Day Entail?

As our Operations Technician, you'll start your shift inspecting equipment and configuring distillation columns, then process setups, execute transfers and bulk tank moves, perform teardowns, and complete safety checks and PMS/LOTO procedures, logging results in Excel and reporting anomalies, so every run leaves the plant safer, cleaner, and more productive than you found it.

• Experience in manufacturing, chemicals industry, or production processes
• Experience with Pumps, Hoses, Compressors, PMS, Lockout Tag Out
• Excellent math skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Proficient with Microsoft 365, including Excel/Word
• At least two years of chemical process experience or an Associate's degree is preferred.
