Job summary

RHF is seeking a Maintenance Technician at Abbey Apartments in Indianapolis to maintain building exteriors and interiors, perform unit turnovers, and support daily property operations. You will respond to service requests, assist with turnover timelines, and participate in preventative maintenance programs.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and service-oriented, with experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and proficiency with RealPage Maintenance Facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in the building maintenance field highly desired.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
• Familiarity with RealPage Maintenance Facilities software.
• Basic English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Building and Property Maintenance: maintain interior and exterior appearance in lobbies, stairwells, walkways, and common areas.
• Unit Turnovers: complete turnovers within 3 days of move-out.
• Painting and Preventative Maintenance: perform painting and scheduled maintenance.
• Inspections: assist in apartment and systems inspections as required.
• Work Orders: respond to work orders and enter details into OneSite.
• Maintenance Emergencies: address emergencies, after-hours and weekends as needed.
• Troubleshooting: diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
• Vendor Coordination: monitor landscape contractor and coordinate with vendors.
• Safety and Compliance: follow safety protocols and regulations.
• Customer Service: provide responsive service to residents and team.
• Maintenance Shop Organization: keep shop neat and organized.
• Property Security: maintain keys and property security.
