RHF (Retirement Housing Foundation) seeks a Property Maintenance Technician for LaFontaine Center in Huntington, IN. Maintain buildings, common areas and grounds; support the Property Manager; respond to service requests; assist with apartment turnovers to keep the community safe and welcoming.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in maintenance, knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and proficiency with tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in building maintenance
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Skilled with hand and power tools
• Ability to read technical manuals and work independently
• Familiarity with property management software like RealPage

Responsibilities

• Maintain interior and exterior appearance of buildings and property
• Complete unit turnovers within 3 days when needed
• Perform painting and preventative maintenance per schedule
• Assist with inspections and respond to work orders
• Address maintenance emergencies, after-hours and holidays as needed
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
• Coordinate with vendors and monitor contractors
• Follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements
• Keep maintenance shop organized and secure
• Ensure property security and proper key control
