Multifamily Property Management

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. Duties include, but are not limited to: repairing flooring, drywall, and appliances; troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, safety, and security systems (lighting, locks, smoke/CO2 alarms, etc.); HVAC systems; painting (interior and exterior); and cleaning (sweeping, mopping, garden/yard upkeep, etc.). The technician must perform all duties in accordance with company policies and safety protocols, supporting the overall objective of meeting client expectations within the operating budget.

Pay: $21 - $23 / Hour

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Client Relations: Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the owner to ensure the property meets client expectations.
  2. General Maintenance: Follow maintenance programs, ensure grounds are in compliance, and assist with inspections.
  3. On-call/After Hours Response: Provide emergency maintenance services during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  4. Unit Turnover: Inspect and repair vacant apartments, assist with painting, and coordinate appliance installations to ensure timely turnover.
  5. Maintenance Equipment and Systems: Repair and maintain equipment, keep storage areas organized, secure parts and supplies, and maintain inventory within budget.
  6. Additional Duties: Enforce community rules, comply with Fair Housing Laws, uphold professional image, and communicate professionally.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in residential property management, hotel, facilities maintenance, or construction.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; technical school and/or CAMT certification preferred.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and be medically cleared for duty.
  • Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).
  • Basic computer skills (email, internet).
  • Own tools may be required.
