Gorman & Company in Racine, WI is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to support one of our affordable housing communities. You will perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC and appliances, while keeping exteriors, pools, and common areas well maintained.
You will conduct daily property walks, respond to maintenance requests, and prepare vacant units for new residents with detailed checklists. A strong resident-first approach and two years of experience are valued.

Complete daily maintenance and repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
Maintain exterior of the property and pool areas along with tackling seasonal prep such as fall cleanup.
Perform daily property walks to keep everything clean, safe, and looking sharp.
Respond promptly to routine and emergency maintenance requests when assigned.
Prepare vacant apartments for new residents using make-ready checklists.
Inspect buildings and grounds to maintain safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal.
Maintain common areas, exterior spaces, and grounds.
Communicate with vendors and contractors.
Minimum of two years of previous experience in property management maintenance, building maintenance, or related trade.
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet insurability requirements.
Strong customer service skills with a resident-first mindset.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
HVAC-EPA (Type II), or EPA Universal preferred.
