Job summary

Lifespace Communities is seeking a Maintenance team member for Friendship Village of Bloomington. The role involves performing maintenance tasks, preventive maintenance, and light refurbishments to ensure safe, functional living spaces for residents.

Required is a high school diploma or equivalent with at least one year in building maintenance; a relevant certification or license and a valid driver’s license are also needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical education preferred.
  • Minimum of one year in building maintenance or construction.
  • Certification or license to operate/repair equipment as required by regulation.
  • State driver’s license with clean driving record as defined by insurance mandates.
  • Compensation based on experience and qualifications.
  • Pay commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned maintenance duties and routine preventive maintenance; identify deficiencies and fix per procedures.
  • Maintain tools, equipment and supplies; notify supervisors for replacements as needed.
  • Assist with refurbishment projects and repairs.
  • Complete work within scheduled time frame, per budget and priorities set by supervisor.
  • Install, finish, repair, paint, remove and dispose of drywall or other material.
  • Pickup and deliver supplies.
  • Operate maintenance equipment, vehicles, or snow blowers as required.
