Job summary

The Inland Real Estate Group, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Westown at Wilson Apartment Homes in Grand Rapids, MI. This full-time position, based on-site, focuses on maintaining the property's physical integrity and providing a safe living environment for residents and staff.

Qualified candidates have 1+ year of property maintenance experience and hands-on skills in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and landscaping.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in property maintenance or equivalent maintenance-related fieldwork.
• Hands-on experience with basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC systems.
• Must furnish own tools and have transportation to obtain parts from vendors.
• HVAC and CPO certification preferred; CFC/EPA certification required or willingness to obtain within 45 days.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite; ability to communicate with residents and management.

Responsibilities

• Address resident service and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Communicate status of service requests to residents to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain property safety by correcting unsafe conditions and managing records.
• Complete make-ready repairs and manage preventive maintenance records.
• Perform groundskeeping tasks and assist with deliveries and moves.
• Travel to vendors for parts as needed; adhere to OSHA guidelines.
