Job summary

The Inland Real Estate Group of Companies in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a full-time Maintenance Technician to keep Westown at Wilson Apartment Homes in top condition. You will perform general repairs, preventive maintenance, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Applicants should have hands-on trade skills, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a professional approach. The role requires evenings, weekends, and on-call hours, with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in property maintenance or equivalent fieldwork.
• Hands-on experience with basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC systems, pools, landscaping, and cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Address resident service and maintenance requests promptly.
• Communicate status of service requests to residents and staff.
• Maintain property condition and fix unsafe conditions.
• Keep records of preventive maintenance, service requests, and make-readies.
• Ensure make-readies are completed on schedule.
• Rake, sweep, shovel, and salt property grounds as needed.
• Change locks and keys as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
