Job summary

Yugo USA LLC operates Yugo Champaign South 3rd Lofts and seeks a Maintenance Technician to uphold safety, perform repairs, and support residents. This hourly, non-exempt position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and involves handling work orders, emergencies, and regular upkeep to preserve property value.

The role requires at least 1 year of maintenance experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work, plus a HS diploma.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• EPA Type I certification or higher preferred.
• Pool maintenance certification preferred if required by local regulation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build relationships.
• Proficient with technology and online systems.
• Carbon Literacy Certification or willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders efficiently with high-quality repairs.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies with excellent service.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, painting, appliance repair, carpentry tasks.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, equipment, and common areas for safety.
• Maintain pools, spas, and related equipment per safety rules.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed.
