Job summary

Refresco Beverages US, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our processing facility. You will perform repair and preventive maintenance on production lines, troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, and ensure GMP compliance.

The role requires reading blueprints, forklift certification, and ability to work without supervision. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and uphold food safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Forklift certification required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Handle line changeovers and resolve equipment malfunctions (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic).
• Maintain production supporting systems (glycol, RO, compressed air, lubrication).
• Record parts and complete work orders with proper documentation.
• Communicate maintenance and production updates between shifts.
• Assist in training other maintenance personnel.

Essential Job Functions:

• Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas (including but not limited to hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard toe and slip/oil resistant shoes, appropriate safety gloves, and seatbelts while operating forklifts).
• Responsible to adhere to food quality and food safety as per the standard(s) provided by corporate, customer, and/or governing bodies (ex. SQF).
• Report problems with the FSMS to responsible managerial employees to initiate corrective actions.
• Ability to perform and complete repair maintenance, preventive maintenance, and line changeovers.
• Able to troubleshoot machinery for malfunctions (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, & pneumatic).
• Able to perform maintenance on all production supporting equipment (i.e. glycol system, RO system, Compressed Air system, lubrication systems, chemical distribution systems).
• Use innovative thinking when troubleshooting equipment in order to minimize production downtime, assure food safety, product quality and personnel safety.
• Complete, document, and retrieve final approvals on all assigned work orders to include recording all utilized part numbers for inventory purposes.
• Communicate effectively and completely all relevant maintenance and production related information from shift to relieving shift.
• Assist in training other maintenance personnel.
• Communicate with production during periods of downtime.
• Work collaboratively with all adjacent teams to resolve issues rapidly and drive improvement.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of GMPs.
• Understanding of Food Safety Requirements.
• Must be able to read, understand, and work with machinery blueprints and parts manuals.

• Must obtain and maintain forklift certification.

Education and Experience:

• High school degree or equivalent.

Working Conditions:

• Work Schedule: Weekdays, weekends, afternoon, evening, and overnight may be required. Overtime scheduled as needed.
• Work Environment: Operating in a fast-paced production plant with numerous moving parts. Noise levels require hearing protection and temperatures can get very hot and/or relatively cold). The environment is structured and supervised.

• May be minimal travel required as needed for training.

Pay Range: $28.00-$34.00

Shift: 1st shift 7:00am-3:30pm

such as experience level, education, qualifications, certifications, skills, location, performance,

market trends, business or organizational requirements.
