Job summary

Wellstone Regional Hospital is seeking a PRN Maintenance Technician to support our 100-bed acute care facility in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The role involves performing painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, light HVAC tasks, and preventive maintenance across the physical plant with minimal supervision.

Qualified applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus experience with hand and power tools, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent; two years of technical or trade school preferred.
• Experience: Must have experience in operating a variety of hand/power tools and equipment ensuring proper safety precautions.
• Licensure: Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Additional Requirements: Must have complete knowledge of physical plant within four weeks of hire.
• Physical requirements: lifting up to 75 pounds, operate machinery, weather conditions, hearing, reading/writing, exposure to bodily fluids, movement flexibility.

Responsibilities

Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana and has been providing quality health care to the residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 2003. Wellstone specializes in the treatment of Adolescents, Children, and the Adult population. In addition to our in-patient services, we offer out-patient programs as well. Wellstone is currently searching for a PRN (as needed) Maintenance Technician.

Maintenance Technicians perform a variety of tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, light HVAC, test and inspections of physical plant equipment, preventive maintenance and various janitorial duties with minimal supervision.
