Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery. The role requires 5+ years of experience, reading instructions, and strong mechanical aptitude.

You will work with various hand and power tools to keep production lines running and collaborate with mobile mechanics as needed. The position emphasizes safety, ability to lift up to 80 lbs, and adaptability to manufacturing conditions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in maintenance/repair
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and manuals
• Mechanical aptitude and ability are essential
• Skilled in use of hand and power tools
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, electricity, carpentry
• Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance programs

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance to plant structures
• Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and machines as assigned
• Test and troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery and follow through with repairs
• Install equipment and electrical components and test for proper function
• Dismantle equipment to access defective parts using tools and hoists
• Welding, cutting, and light machining as required
• Operate hand and power tools to repair, grease, change, and clean parts/equipment
• Maintain clean and orderly work area
• Collaborate with mobile mechanic as needed
• Other duties as assigned
