Job summary

MEC, a leading manufacturing company in Bedford, is seeking a maintenance associate to perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems. You will repair and maintain facility structures, assist other departments with process changes, and train new maintenance staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education and experience.
• Three years of maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine inspections and maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
• Performs minor repairs and preventative maintenance according to procedures to ensure minimal downtime of equipment.
• Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the facility, including doors, windows, and flooring.
• Provides support to other departments regarding process and/or equipment changes.
• Trains and mentors new maintenance associates.
• Installs equipment, components, and systems with and without outside services.
• Identifies and reports potential safety hazards. Applies corrective action(s) as necessary.
• Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, and inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
• Inspects tools, parts, and equipment regularly to ensure good working condition, and requests replacements as needed.
• Follows all safety regulations and wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Other duties as assigned.
