Job summary

TransTech Energy is seeking a Maintenance Technician in McGregor, TX to join our fabrication team. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and help maintain records under the Maintenance Manager’s direction to ensure safety, reliability, and uptime of shop assets.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of equipment maintenance experience, strong problem-solving skills, and solid communication to coordinate with operations and contractors.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of equipment maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with shop equipment maintenance and repair.
• Familiarity with PM programs or software is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety standards (LOTO/OSHA) and emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on shop equipment under supervision.
• Schedule and complete preventative maintenance activities.
• Assist with OSHA inspections and documentation.
• Maintain accurate equipment files and maintenance records.
• Conduct daily inspections of forklifts, trucks, and overhead cranes.
• Inspect electrical tools, cords, and lighting systems.
• Complete monthly inspections (e.g., fire extinguishers).
• Assist with basic building maintenance and repairs.
• Support environmental sampling and reporting processes.
• Assist with facility security systems and access controls.
• Collaborate with third-party contractors on maintenance tasks.
• Communicate issues and improvements to the Maintenance Manager.
