Equity Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to address resident service requests, perform hands-on maintenance, and prepare market-ready apartments. The role includes preventative maintenance and grounds upkeep within our communities.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of basic trades, and the ability to work flexible shifts. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, and HVAC equipment.
• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required when operating a vehicle.
• Must communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Address resident service requests promptly and professionally.
• Perform hands-on maintenance tasks including plumbing and electrical work.
• Prepare market-ready apartments and maintain community grounds.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify needed repairs or replacements.
