Job summary

Summit Staffing, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing equipment maintenance in Northwest Houston, TX.

The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and improving reliability of plant machinery. Responsibilities include installing, aligning, repairing, and servicing production equipment, reading schematics, and using CMMS for maintenance planning.

Qualifications

2-year vocational/technical degree or equivalent training in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or related field.
3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and power tools.
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments.
Experience with PLCs and automated systems.
Previous use of CMMS / preventive maintenance programs.
Welding and fabrication skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Install, align, repair, and maintain production machinery and equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and power transmission systems.
Perform routine inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance (TPM).
Fabricate or repair parts using machine tools (lathes, grinders).
Use CMMS to manage maintenance and spare parts inventory.
