Milliken & Company in Portage, Wisconsin is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep production equipment operational while upholding peak safety standards. You will support capital projects, read PLC programs, troubleshoot software/hardware, and ensure accurate maintenance records.

The role requires basic mechanical skills, a valid Wisconsin driver’s license, and flexibility for overtime, shift changes, or overnight travel. You’ll be part of a safety‑minded, continuous improvement team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic mechanical skills related to hand and power tools.
• Basic knowledge of process control, refrigeration, boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, LOTO, and industrial safety practices.
• Experienced with steam systems, liquid transfer systems, pump repair, valve repair, and confined space entry.
• Current Wisconsin Driver's license.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.

Responsabilités

• Perform maintenance tasks to keep production equipment operational.
• Perform work at the highest safety levels, promote safety internally and work directly with contractors on safety procedures.
• Work with cross functional teams to identify and insure sound maintenance processes are develop for capital projects.
• Maintain, repair and troubleshoot all plant equipment.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance.
• Participate in 5S and TPM teams.
• Read PLC programs as needed and troubleshoot and correct problems pertaining to software and/or hardware.
• Electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Assist in developing and installing new equipment or plant expansion projects.
• Contact, direct and promote the safety of contractors to perform specific inspections or maintenance work.
• Maintain accurate and up to date maintenance records.
• Support on call requirements for the plant: 1 week duration, rotating responsibility.
• Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule.
• Based on Business needs the following maybe required: OT, Changing shifts, Overnight travel.
