Job summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI. This position offers paid training and opportunities for growth within a growing company that maintains specialized equipment.

You will troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, reporting to the maintenance operations supervisor and coordinating with production and vendors to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED or 2+ years of related technical experience
• 2+ years facilities/machine maintenance experience
• Ability to work all shifts and overtime as needed
• Must be available to work all shifts
• A basic understanding of electrical systems to include 600 volt and below including various control voltage
• Working from ladders and lifts while wearing fall protection
• Experience using various diagnostic tools and meters (volt meters, amp meters, meggers, data loggers, micrometers, calipers, test gauges, temperature devices)
• Ability to work at heights, confined spaces and extreme temperatures
• Individuals are required to possess their own basic hand tools
• Specific trade licensing e.g. Electrical, HVAC/refrigeration
• Past mechanical/electrical or hydraulic trade school or apprenticeship
• Past Robotic equipment repair experience
• Military/Navy experience

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Collaborate with maintenance operations supervisor and vendors
• Work with PLCs and electrical troubleshooting for day-to-day issues
• Develop and evaluate new technologies or methods
• Follow procedural compliance and engineered procedures
