Job summary

TCC Materials in Missouri is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure quality and productivity by performing preventive maintenance and repairs on buildings, mechanical equipment and utilities.

You will troubleshoot equipment, operate hand and power tools, and collaborate with the Plant Manager to implement productivity improvements while following safety policies. On-call rotation and travel to plant as needed with opportunity to contribute to SOP development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational degree/certificate preferred with 3+ years in manufacturing.
• Strong communication, leadership, math and interpersonal skills; fluency in English.
• Experience working with machine operators, equipment operators and plant production teams.
• Experience with building/property maintenance and understanding of manufacturing equipment/process.
• Mechanically inclined with excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Strong planning, organizing, problem solving and multitasking abilities.
• Welding, electrical and mechanical experience in an industrial environment.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow safety policies.
• Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, NEC and other codes; experience with batching/PLC systems.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment down or needing repairs.
• Maintain facility and systems; perform building repairs (doors, docks, lighting, plumbing, HVAC filters).
• Perform daily, monthly, annual preventive maintenance; complete checklists.
• Operate hand and power tools; use drills, grinders safely.
• Identify and order parts required for equipment maintenance from manuals.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and organized parts room.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and safety policies; ensure guards are in place.
• Provide backup to production, warehousing, inventory, and shipping as needed.
• Develop, implement, and verify SOPs for tasks.
• Be on-call during shifts and travel to plant as needed.
• Maintain relations with employees, suppliers, and customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
