Job summary

Belcan Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Carson, CA to support PMI, RMC and PSM tasks for industrial equipment. The role involves reading diagrams, wiring, and commissioning complex control systems, using meters, oscilloscopes, and PLCs. Shift coverage includes Tue-Fri, plus Sat.

ASTM training and safety standards apply. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of instrumentation/electrical troubleshooting, AB PLC/RSLogix experience, and strong problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in technical field is a plus.
• 5+ years experience with plant instrumentation/electrical/controls troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to communicate and conduct training activities.
• Strong problem-solving with ability to read electrical control drawings and diagnose issues.
• Solid electrical-mechanical background for troubleshooting.
• Willingness to follow procedures, read prints and schematics.
• Excellent safety record and experience with AB PLC, RSLogix, and Rockwell software.
• Able to travel regionally up to ~50%.

Responsibilities

• Understand and use electrical and mechanical drawings for industrial control systems.
• Repair and maintain equipment per diagrams and manuals.
• Use multimeters, tachometers, oscilloscope to diagnose control systems.
• Lead complex maintenance tasks and on-site tests.
• Connect maintenance PCs to PLCs and modify code under engineering guidance.
• Provide on-site technical and operational support for design and installation.
• Develop base or installation plans from site surveys.
• Train customers to operate and adjust complex equipment.
• Document reports of job activity and calibrations.
• Support maintenance of tools, test equipment, and calibration items.
