Job summary

Oetiker Group in the United States is seeking a production equipment maintenance technician to minimize downtime by repairing mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems on our production machines. You will read manuals, diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance, and support safe operating practices on a 1st shift schedule.

Candidates should have an associate degree or technical training with PLC repair experience, 3–5 years in manufacturing, and forklift/scissor lift certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical training with PLC repair experience OR high school diploma with 6 years of PLC repair experience.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing environment.
• Forklift and scissor lift certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Repair mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components on production machines.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose failures of automated equipment and initiate repairs.
• Adjust and replace electrical sensors for proper operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance and suggest improvements.
• Handle machine changeovers and tooling replacements.
• Operate facility startup/shutdown processes.
• Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
• Support spill response and pest control as needed.
• Changeover to generator power in emergencies.
• Rig machinery as needed and read schematics.
