Job summary

Alamo Group Ag Americas, LLC in Selma, Alabama is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support repairs, preventive maintenance and infrastructure projects in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing plant. The role requires focus on safety, basic mechanical skills and ability to work with tools and lifting equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ maintenance experience or a technical degree preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Safe forklift and mobile lift equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Focus, communicate, encourage and contribute to Safety in all aspects of the job and all company meetings.
• Competent and resourceful while performing tasks.
• Work on special projects; such as rerouting the conveyor, moving machinery, running gas and air lines, fan installations, light installations.
• Test and verify proper operation of equipment upon completion of maintenance tasks.
• Observe and practice good housekeeping and safe work procedures while performing all assigned duties.
• Project work as needed to improve process and department flow.
• Assist department supervisor in any projects or processes as needed.
• Perform any other duties which may be assigned by Supervisor.
