Job summary

Calumet Specialty Products Partners L.P. in Dickinson, TX seeks a Maintenance Technician to maintain electrical, instrumentation and mechanical equipment at the Dickinson Plant.

You will diagnose and repair pumps, gear boxes, control panels, and instruments, with a focus on reliability and cost control. You’ll read P&ID drawings, follow safety standards, work with vendors, and participate in after-hours on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Minimum 3 years' work experience in pipefitting, boiler making or pump troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair plant operating equipment including pumps, gear boxes, mixers, control panels, PLCs, flare systems, instruments and process devices.
• Read and understand P&ID drawings; record information and maintain documentation.
• Install, test and calibrate flow, level, pressure, temperature, pH and other instruments.
• Work with vendors to acquire knowledge on technology and cost-saving solutions.
• Perform general maintenance tasks such as filter changes, valve repair, piping and hose replacement.
• Assist other maintenance staff and contractors; participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
