Job summary

Newell Brands in Fishers, Indiana, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support upkeep and repair of all plant functions on a rotating schedule. The role focuses on keeping equipment running, safety, and efficient operations.

You will perform monthly preventative maintenance, assist in safety and housekeeping efforts, and collaborate with supervisors and others to meet cost and quality goals. 1–3 years’ experience in maintenance or related trades is ideal.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years’ experience in machine repair, tool & die and/or machinist areas.
• 1–3 years’ mechanic troubleshooting experience.
• General knowledge of Maintenance and preventive maintenance programs.
• Good team working skills.
• LEAN concepts (5S, SMED) and TPM experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs monthly preventative maintenance and repairs in all manufacturing areas.
• Observes safety rules and identifies hazards; supports safe work practices.
• Cooperates with Supervisors to expedite repairs of down equipment.
• Strives for cost-effective use of materials, supplies and equipment.
• Maintains neat, orderly work areas and assists in cross-department projects.
• Reports problems to supervision and maintains good working relations.
• Engages in projects such as equipment installation, line redesign, and kaizen-driven improvements.
