Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Pipefitter
Pay: Up to $35/hour+, depending on experience

Job Summary
MS Companies is helping one of our customers hire a Maintenance Technician - Pipefitter to maintain piping and mechanical systems throughout a large manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate has hands-on pipefitting and mechanical troubleshooting experience in automotive, food manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a four-year technical trade school or apprenticeship program, or at least six years of pipefitting experience. A journeyman card is not required.
- Maintenance or skilled-trade experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Strong mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for business-related travel.
- Regular, dependable attendance and willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays when needed.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience maintaining facility piping ranging from 1/8 inch to 20 inches in diameter.
- Experience servicing industrial pumps, cylinders, valves, regulators, tanks, hoses, filtration systems, mixers, and related piping components.
- Rigging experience or the willingness and ability to become a qualified rigger.
- Experience operating, or willingness to learn, forklifts, scissor lifts, overhead cranes, pipe threaders, saws, grinders, and similar equipment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, clean, replace, and service facility piping and mechanical systems.
- Maintain vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic pumps, cylinders, water heaters, lines, hoses, valves, regulators, and tanks.
- Service spray nozzles, headers, block-offs, fittings, flow controls, filtration systems, and mixers.
- Operate forklifts, yard runners, scissor lifts, overhead cranes, and other maintenance equipment.
- Safely use bench grinders, belt sanders, horizontal and portable band saws, pipe threaders, and hammer drills.
- Correct or report safety hazards, follow lockout/tagout procedures, perform rigging, and complete other assigned maintenance duties.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
This position works in a large manufacturing plant built in the 1950s. The environment can be hot, dirty, noisy, and physically demanding, with exposure to machinery, uneven surfaces, changing temperatures, dust, fumes, chemicals, and heights. Employees must follow all safety procedures and wear the required PPE.
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, crawl, twist, reach, push, and pull.
- Constant repetitive hand use and simple grasping, frequent power grasping, and occasional fine manipulation.
- Constantly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently lift 26-50 pounds, and seldom lift 51-100 pounds.
- Frequently carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally carry 26-75 pounds.

Interview Process
